Lumia 520 launched today


The all-new Nokia lumia 520 launched today. The Windows 8 phone was first announced at the World Mobile Congress along with Lumia 720.
It was announced in the country on 20 March and is priced at Rs104999.
The single GSM SIM bar phone runs on Windows 8 operating system and is powered by a 1 GHz dual core Qualcomm Krait processor with 512 MB RAM which allows you to multitask without any hiccups.
The Nokia Lumia 520 comes with a smooth 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 235 ppi and 16 M colors as well. The IPS display of the phone allows for better viewing angles and the touchscreen is sensitive enough to work even when you are wearing gloves or have long fingernails.
Nokia Lumia 520 which prides itself on the 5 megapixel camera that has both 4x digital zoom and auto focus for a much better photo capturing experience . But  there is no Led Flash. The phone can also record HD videos at 30 frames per second.
Smooth and rounded, the Lumia 520 is built to feel just right on your palm. The phone slickly packs the camera, voice and power lock keys into the body along with a 3.5 mm audio jack. This device from Nokia comes with an orientation sensor and a brightness sensor as well, apart from the ambient light sensor and the accelerometer.
Storage and Battery
The Nokia Lumia 520  comes with an enormous inbuilt memory of 8 GB which can be extended up to 64 GB with a microSD card. The phone is powered by a 1430 mAh battery that gives you 14 hours of talk time on 2G and lasts for 360 hours when on standby.
Connectivity and Features
The Nokia Lumia 520 brings the world of internet right to your fingertips with connectivity options like GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi which can also be used as a hotspot for tethering. The phone comes with a microUSB connector and allows you to transfer media and data from and to compatible devices via bluetooth as well.
