After launching the Aqua Wonder Quadcore and the Intex Player earlier this month, Intex is back with two new Android phones called the Aqua Marvel+ and the Aqua Swadesh. These entry-level phones have been listed on the company website and are available for Rs 3,990 and Rs 3,790 respectively.
Talking of specifications, the Dual-SIM Aqua Marvel+ sports a 3.5-inch HVGA (320×480 pixels) display and is powered by a 1GHz MTK6515 processor and 256MB of RAM. Other features included on the phone are a 3-megapixel rear camera, 95MB of internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card, connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB ports and also has a 1,400mAH battery included. The phone runs on an outdated Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and is available in grey, white and yellow color variants.
The Aqua Swadesh offers most of the same specifications as the Marvel+ with slight differences. Unlike the Aqua Marvel+, this phone sports a 3.2-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) display, a 2-megapixel rear camera, 75MB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card and a 1,200mAH battery. The Aqua Swadesh too runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and is available in black and white color variants.
For phones priced under Rs 4,000, both the Aqua Marvel+ and the Aqua Swadesh, offer a decent list of specs though some might rue the missing camera at the front of the phones. In terms of competition, they both will go up against the likes of the Micromax Bolt A35 and the Karbonn A3 among others.
