Samsung today has launched the Galaxy Note 8.0 and is listed online for pre-order at the Samsung eStore. The tablet was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February as the Galaxy Note 8.0. As promised the tablet is now up for pre-order on the Samsung India eStore for Rs 30,900. Samsung is also giving in a book cover worth Rs 2,699 with every pre-order.

The tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor, alongwith 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and has an 4,600 mAh battery. It sports an 8-inch 1280×800 pixel display, and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Currently only the white model is available, and only the 16GB variant is available, but users can use the microSD card slot to expand the memory. It also has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera.

The tablet also has a simcard slot enabling users to make calls. But most us will find it difficult making calls with such a big handset.

As it is a part of Samsung’s Note line of products, it also features a S-Pen and has a number of features that are tailor made for the stylus.
