During the BlackBerry Live Conference, CEO Thorsten Heins said that the Canadian company will be releasing the famous messaging service, the BBM, on devices running on iOS and Android for free.
BBM for Android and iOS will first only offer messaging and group chat features, but Heins has promised that with subsequent updates, they will release rest of the features like BBM voice, BBM channels, screen sharing and video capabilities.
Although there is no word on the exact launch date of the BBM but Heins was quite vague when he said the messaging service will be made available on other platforms this summer.
