Skype new video messaging feature out in a beta stage which is available for android and iOS windows and blackberry devices

Skype’s video messaging feature that lets users send a recorded video message to a Skype contact has finally come out of its beta phase. Today Skype announced the release of the feature for apps on Windows, Mac, iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.

“Want to say goodnight to your kids while traveling, but you’ll be up in the air? Need to wish your dad a happy birthday, but can’t seem to catch up? Skype can help you connect with the special people in your life—even when your schedules conflict,” Skype said in a blog post.

To send a message, tap on the ‘video message’ button and click on the record button for the app to start recording the video. The app allows one to record up to 3 minutes of videos and lets users preview the entire message before sending it. Once you are satisfied with the recorded message, you can click on the envelope button to send it to one’s desired Skype contact.
