HTC Desire 200 announced with a 3.5-inch HVGA display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich


After so many leaks and rumours from websites including GFXBench and a set of photos, the Taiwanese company has today finally launched the phone as it has putted the entry level smartphone on its website.

In terms of specifications, the HTC Desire 200 sports a 3.5 inch HVGA display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chipset clocked at 1GHz and paired with 512MB of RAM. Other features included on the phone are 5-megapixel rear camera, VGA secondary camera, built-in Beats Audio support, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card, and a 1,230mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for 10.9 hours of talk time and up to 821 hours on Standby mode.

Connectivity-wise the 3G-enabled device supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and AGPS and on the software front, runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich wrapped under HTC’s Sense UI.

The pricing and it’s launch in India is yet to be announced.
