LG is reportedly holding a press event on August 7 in New York City to launch the Optimus G2, Android and Me reports. According to the report, LG sent an invite saying “LG Mobile Communications Company will be hosting an international media event on August 7 in New York City. More information will follow in the coming weeks, but we wanted you to be aware so you could plan your schedules accordingly.”
LG has already announced earlier this week that the successor to the Optimus G will be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor, which has proven to be the fastest ARM based processor.
LG recently also launched the Optimus G Pro which is its rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Note II and it is powered by the Snapdragon 600 CPU, so the Optimus G2 in all likelihood will be a more powerful device.
