After first announcing the Desire 600 earlier this year, the device was available for people to buy off online retailers in India. Today, HTC has officially announced the launch of the Android smartphone in the country for Rs 26,990.
To remind you of the specifications, the Desire 600 sports a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 (960×540 pixels) display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM. Other features include BoomSound dual speakers on the front similar to that of the One, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, 1.6-megapixel secondary camera, 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded using a microSD card and a 1,860mAh battery that can survive through up to 11 hours of talktime and over 500 hours of standby time.
Connectivity-wise the device features dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS, and AGPS and on the software front, the device runs on Android Jelly Bean wrapped in HTC’s Sense 5 UI.
