Over the past few months the notion of a low-cost iPhone has gathered incredible momentum. Heck, now the supply chain is steadily becoming a means of leaked photos of parts for the prophetic low-cost iPhone. This time around Chinese website IT168 has leaked photos of what is a camera module for the so called cheap iPhone.
The photo suggests that it’s an 8-megapixel sensor, and is the same as the one found on the iPhone 5. That said, there is no glass element in this camera module. There is also talk that the iPhone 5S (not the low-cost iPhone 5C) could also come with a dual-LED flash.
Overall, it seems like the cheap iPhone won’t be that cheap as previous rumors suggested a 5-megapixel sensor for the cheaper model. Additionally, we can expect the device to have capabilities similar to the iPhone 5, but it would be made in a more affordable casing. Leaks already suggest colouful plastic casings for the low-cost iPhone.
