A lot of rumours are going here and there about the HTC One Max, a phablet by the taiwanese company. But now, it seems that the phone launch is round the corner. According to a report by Engadget, HTC has sent out invites for events taking place in Hong Kong on October 16 and in Taiwan on October 18.
The invite reads, “One finger opens up a big view, You are invited to immerse in the sound with us.” This seems to be a subtle indication that the One Max could have a fingerprint scanner ala the iPhone 5S and BoomSound stereo speakers. There have been murmurs about a fingerprint scanner on the One Max before and today areport on WSJ has all but confirmed this notion.
To remind you of what we know of the device so far, the device is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. The phablet will sport a 5.9-inch 1080p display and will have a 3,300mAh battery inside. There is even talk about a Chinese model that will have dual-SIM capabilities and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
