Xolo Q2000 is here with 4G LTE and 13MP camera

Xolo has finally unveiled its first ever 4G-enabled smartphone called the Q2000, which has been listed on the company’s website. A few days back BGR India had exclusively reported that Xolo would soon be foraying in to the 4G smartphone market with a new 4G LTE-enabled smartphone, and will be launching it in partnership withAirtel for its 4G network in Bangalore. With this smartphone, it seems like Xolo is trying to futureproof its smartphone portfolio in India considering that 4G networks in India are still a few months away. Operators likeAirtel has its 4G services in Bangalore and Chandigarh, and is expected to introduced 4G in Delhi and Mumbai soon. Reliance’s Jio Infocomm, on the other hand, is expected to launch 4G sometime early next year. RecentlyMicromax had also confirmed 4G smartphones in the making and to be launched soon.

 

This dual-SIM Android phone is the latest addition in the company’s ‘Q’ series of quad-core processor equipped devices, and offers HD display to the users. Features-wise, it comes with a 5.5 IPS HD (720p) display, and be powered by MediaTek MT6589W chipset with quad-core clocked at 1.2GHz and with 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The phone offers 8GB of internal memory which can further be expandable by up to 32GB using a microSD card. Talking of the camera, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash, and full HD video (1080p) recording support, and has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

On the software front, the phone will run on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will offer some preloaded applications including those powered by Xolo. Other features on the phone will include standard wireless-connectivity options including support for 4G LTE network.  And to ensure to run all of these for longer, the phone will house a 2,600mAh battery with up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 520 hours of standby time on 2G network.

–The price of the phone is yet not disclosed, though considering the specifications, you can expect the phone to be launched at a slightly higher price.–

Update : The phone has now been launched with a price tag of Rs 14296.
