Samsung suspends Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update on the Galaxy SIII after users report issues

Samsung released android 4.3 update for their Galaxy SIII users earlier this month, but after updating their phones many users started complaining about issues with their phones. The issues ranged from unresponsive handsets to huge battery drain among others. Now, in an official statement to SamMobile, the company has announced that it has temporarily suspended the update.

After updating their devices to Android 4.3 (I9300XXUGMG9), users noticed that there was a visible lag in the phone’s wake-up time and other issues like battery drain, problem with connecting to Wi-Fi, random freezing, black screen issue, issue with the stock music player and also issues with multi-tasking. Samsung also failed to deliver on the promised KNOX implementation in this update.

The statement sent to SamMobile reads;

“As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended. We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.” – Samsung Mobile UK|Your Simple Tech Centra!
