Micromax Bolt A61 smartphone launched for Rs 4,999

Micromax today launched it’s new, budget smartphone named the Bolt A61 for only Rs 4,999. The android-powered smartphone falls in the category of smartphones under Rs 6000. The Bolt A61 gives a tough competition to Intex Cloud X4Spice Smart Flo Space and iBall’s Andi range of budget smartphones.

Specs-wise, the Bolt A61 comes with a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) TFT display and is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710 processor with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage. The phone has a microSD card slot but seems to be compatible with up to 16GB cards only. Other features in the phone include a 2-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera, connectivity through Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G HSPA, and a 1,500mAh battery to run it for 3.5 hours on talk time and up to 160 hours on standby mode. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it comes pre-loaded with apps like Kingsoft Office, Hike, Spuul, Opera and Mi Live among others.
