Oppo N1 to be launched for $599 on December 10

Oppo has announced it will launch the N1 smartphone, which is best known for an innovative rotatable camera, on the December 10 this year. The Chinese vendor has posted a note on its official Google Plus account, which highlights its launch price to be $599 in the US and Euro 449 in Europe, translating to approximately Rs 37,200 in India. However, there is no specific information given about its launch or pricing in India.

The smartphone comes with a 5.9-inch 1080p IPS display, and runs on a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The USP of the phone is its 13-megapixel camera which can be rotated by 206 degrees to take selfies with a higher resolution camera with flash rather than relying on a poor quality front facing camera.

Talking about the software, buyers will have the choice to go for either CyanogenMod or Oppo’s Color UI on Android.

Oppo is unlikely to launch this phone in India around the same time as its global launch considering it doesn’t have any presence in India at the moment, but one might be able to buy it from online stores considering it would be available in the US and Europe.
