Samsung Galaxy J announced in Taiwan, says report

Yesterday Samsung reportedly launched the Galaxy J smartphone in Taiwan. According to reports, this makes Taiwan only the second market to get the Galaxy J apart from Japan where it was released some time ago. The Galaxy J is a high-end device from Samsung, which sports many of the features of the Galaxy Note 3, but has a smaller screen.

The Samsung Galaxy J has a 12.7-cm (5-inch) full HD display and is powered by a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor. It has 3 GB of RAM like the Galaxy Note 3 and 32 GB of internal storage capacity. The storage can also be extended using a micro-SD card. Also, like the Note 3, the Galaxy J runs the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. It supports LTE Cat 4 and has a 13 mega pixel rear camera. It runs on a 2,600 mAh battery.

The device will be available in Red and White colours and will be priced in Taiwan at NT$21,900 off contract. In addition, as a promotion, Samsung is offering the first 150 buyers of the smartphone a free Galaxy Gear smartwatch with it.
