Amazon India today announced a new one day delivery system. Through this, the customers will be able to get their items delivered within one day by paying an amount of Rs 99.
Amazon CEO, Jeff Bezos, on Monday unveiled a new delivery method of drones on 60 minutes which has been named as Prime Air. These drones will apparently be capable of delivering packages up to five pounds (86 percent of orders are apparently less than that), with the aim of getting them to your house in under half an hour and the bots will have a range of 10 miles.
Amazon has launched its Kindle range of tablets and e-book readers in India after they went on pre-orders earlier this month. The online shopping site has tied up with Redington for the distribution of the Kindles and on its online store, it will be sold by Croma retail. It will be available on Amazon.in as well as at retail stores around the country.
The Kindle Fire HD 7-inch model will be available for Rs 15,999 (16GB) and Rs 18,999 (32GB) while the Kindle Fire HD 8.9-inch model will be available at a price of Rs 21,999 (16GB) and Rs 25,999 (32GB). The store will also retail Kindle Paperwhite which will be available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + 3G models. It offers up to 8 weeks of battery life and will be priced for Rs 10,999 for Wi-Fi only and Rs 13,999 for Wi-Fi + 3G version. The fifth generation Kindle ebook reader was already available for Rs 5,999.
