Just a few hours back, we showed you a leaked photo of the forthcoming Galaxy Ace 3, which was believed to be slated for an unveiling at the Samsung Premiere 2013 event on June 20. Moments ago the South Korean company took us all by surprise, by officially announcing the Galaxy Ace 3.
The specifications remain consistent with previous reports and the Galaxy Ace 3 sports a 4-inch TFT (480×800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Other features on the device are a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, VGA secondary camera, 4GB of internal memory supplemented by up to 32GB of external memory and a 1,500mAh battery.
Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy Ace 3 has dual-SIM card slots and features 3G support, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and Wi-Fi. On the software front, the device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with Samsung-specific apps like S Translator, S Travel, Smart Stay and S Voice among others.
There is currently no word on the pricing or when Samsung plans to bring this device to our shores.
