Over a year and a half ago, Marko Ahtisaari, then Nokia’s Head of Product Design, confessed that he was spending at least a third of his time working on a tablet. The company’s stayed relatively quiet about the mysterious device since (despitenumerous leaks pointing to its existence), but today at Nokia World we’re finally seeing Marko’s work come to fruition as the Lumia 2520. As you might expect, this is the first — and possibly the last — attempt by Nokia to craft a Windows RT slate. It’s packing LTE, and a Snapdragon 800 CPU inside, with a bright 650nit screen made out of Gorilla Glass 2. Nokia showed off a video demonstrating its outdoor readability in sunny Abu Dhabi, bright enough to check out Flipboard on Windows RT. It also packs the Storyteller app seen on the 1520, along with a 6.7MP rear camera featuring Zeiss optics and a 2MP front facing camera.
LTE included, the Lumia 2520’s unsubsidized price is $499, and it also includes quick charging capabilities that let it go from drained to 50 percent charge in just 40 minutes. The keyboard cover add-on shown above costs an extra $149.
Today, at Abu Dhabi, Nokia is announcing a plethora of new devices. But what came surprising was that Instagram and Vine are coming on WP8 in the coming weeks, said Stephen Elop. Yes! All the Nokia fans out there, now you all can use Instagram and Vine officially on your devices. Other than this news, nothing much was revealed on their launch dates. However, till then, stay tuned on our website for more.
Today, a number of wearable devices are flooding in the market with new innovations coming day by day. First it was the pebble, then Samsung, and now, it seems that Nokia too wants to enter this segment of smart watches. According to a report, Nokia has filled a patent in the Patent and Trademark Office. According to it, it will be a modular watch that you can customize to your heart’s content. An even more outlandish idea is that each of the segments would contain a display tailored to a specific function — and by turning the device around, you’d be able to access and use whichever was pointing upward.
Although from the above picture, we can’t clearly make out about it’s specs, but going on to the doodle, the watch seems to be having a Windows Phone styled lockscreen, indicating that it might have a touch of Microsoft in it.
However, till then, stay tuned for more updates.

It now seems that it has become a trend of colourful smartphones in the market. Earlier, it was Apple to imitate Nokia’s colourful design by making the iPhone 5C and now its the Samsung. The Korean-giant, today lunched a new smartphone named Galaxy J which is a colourful candy.
The handset moves away from Samsung’s typical, somewhat subdued color palette and is available in deep blue and hot pink in addition to a tamer white tone. Beyond that, it is very much a standard Samsung smartphone with cutting-edge specs that include a 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, LTE-A support, a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2,600mAh battery and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The Galaxy J will launch in Japan by the end of the month, but no word yet on an International rollout.
After many photos and specification leaks, Nokia’s first phablet – the Lumia 1520 – has been spotted yet again in freshly leaked photos posted by a Chinese site (via WMpoweruser). These photos show the Lumia 1520 kept alongside an iPhone 4S and another Lumia phone, which gives a perspective of how massive the 6-incher phablet is going to be.
Features-wise, the Lumia 1520 is expected to come with a 6-inch 1080p full HD display and will run on the Windows Phone 8 OS with GDR3 update to make the most of the bigger display. It is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. It could also feature a 20-megapixel camera with Lumia 925-like 6 element OIS lens and shooting capabilities at 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel resolutions simultaneously. It could also be the first Lumia smartphone to come support a Nano-SIM. It will come in a polycarbonate unibody design as seen on other Lumias and it will most likely be available in black, white and red colors.
We know that Nokia is all set to launch as many as six new devices at its Nokia World event on October 22 in Abu Dhabi, which will include this phablet as well. Apart from this, Nokia is also expected to launch the Lumia 2520 tablet, the Lumia 525 Glee smartphone, three Asha series phones, an NFC ‘Treasure Tag’ accessory andthe Storyteller app at the event.
